Charles Stewart III is the Kenan Sahin Distinguished Professor of Political Science at MIT, where he has taught since 1985, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Since 2001, Professor Stewart has been a member of the Caltech/MIT Voting Technology Project, a leading research effort that applies scientific analysis to the questions of election technology, election administration, and election reform. Professor Stewart founded the MIT Washington Summer Internship Program in 1995.

Katherine Hoss joined the MIT Washington Summer Internship Program as administrator in August 2019. Dr. Hoss also serves MIT as the undergraduate administrator and a lecturer in political philosophy for the Department of Political Science.
