The World Bank Group
I had the pleasure of working at the World Bank this past summer. I was specifically working on the African Programme for Onchocerciasis Control (APOC) program within the Africa region. While I initially came into this program with the mindset of pursing domestic health care policy research, I am glad to have ultimately worked at the World Bank, where I gained greater perspective on international health systems strengthening. Through this internship, I was able to make a real time contribution to APOC's work, while also catering to my diverse interests in health, policy, and finance. I hope to ultimately pursue a career at the intersection of these three areas and felt that interning at the World Bank was a perfect start to that!
