World Bank Group

This summer I worked in the Health, Nutrition, and Population group at the World Bank developing case studies and a blueprint for low and middle income countries to practically implement and scale patient-to-provider telemedicine services. I researched and interviewed stakeholders in and outside of the US, talking to those in the public sector (like Ministers of Health) and those in the private sector (like startup CEOs) before drawing conclusions on the effect of regulation and policy on telemedicine's potential health impact. I really enjoyed working in a place with such an international focus and the mix of development with health policy is now exactly what I plan to do in the future!
