The World Bank Group
This summer I worked on gender-related labor market projects at the World Bank as part of the Jobs Group and the African Gender Innovation Lab. I studied occupational segregation, which is the unequal distribution of men and women across different jobs, and to what extent this can explain the wage gap. I also explored gender differences in the value of a labor market signal, such as a standardized test score or certification. On the side, I built a tool that used natural language processing to organize World Bank reports.
