This summer I interned at the Department of Energy. Within the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE), I had the opportunity to work with both the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Transportation and the EERE International team. During this process I had the opportunity to work on various projects in preparation for the International Clean Energy Ministerial and Mission Innovation conferences. Working alongside teams to support sustainable transportation and renewable energy globally was an amazing experience. Some of my favorite projects involved working with the National Labs and International initiatives to support the Electric Vehicle Initiative and Zero-Emission Shipping. I loved getting to work with people from a wide range of backgrounds, interfacing across teams and learning so much. The experience shaped the way I see international policy and energy, inspiring me to continue my pursuit of knowledge in the field.
