The World Bank Group
I had so much fun working with a team in the Human Development Network at the World Bank. I synthesized the history, funding, partnerships, and strategies of the African Program for Ochocerciasis Control (APOC) that will be put on their website. APOC is a project that aims to eliminate Onchocerciasis and other neglected tropical diseases through mass drug administration of ivermectin in 31 African countries. I also had the privilege of analyzing African countries' questionnaires on Systems Approach for Better Education Results (SABER). From these, I wrote country reports that illustrated countries' development in School Health and School Feeding programs. I learned so much from my mentors, various luncheons the World Bank offered, and the seminars we attended as a program. DC was an awesome place to be during the summer!
