States United Democracy Center

This summer I worked as a research intern at States United Democracy Center (SUDC), a nonpartisan non-profit focused on election security and rule of law. I was drawn to SUDC due to my background in election research at the MIT Election Data & Science Lab, and I was excited to continue honing my data analysis skills in such an important field. Throughout the summer, I worked on two main projects with the research term. First, I worked alongside a senior researcher to evaluate election data and create illustrative reports for state election administrators. Second, I worked with the other research interns to investigate the quality and accessibility of state election information and explore a potential relationship between the quality of this information and election trends. Through this experience, I was able to work with an incredibly talented, passionate team to produce valuable work and learn an incredible amount along the way.
