U.S. Congressmen Harold Roger's Office
This summer I interned at the United States House of Representatives for Representative Harold Rogers. Congressman Rogers represents Kentucky District five, which also happens to be my home district. Throughout my internship I was able to meet and befriend other politically minded interns from around the country, listen to lecture series hosted by offices such as the House Majority Leader and the Speaker of the House, contribute to several projects around the office concerning scientific funding, and help with constituent communication.
I am incredibly thankful for my time in Washington, D.C., and the friends and professional experience that I gained along the way. Learning about how Congress functions from within, in my opinion, is more valuable than any class that you could ever take.
I will always cherish my summer in our nation’s capital and would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to the office of Hal Rogers, my fellow interns, and the program sponsors and administrators.
