The World Bank
This summer I worked at the World Bank, specifically in the East Asia and Pacific Unit. My work centered on developing an AI tool to evaluate the productivity and resilience of cities in low- and middle-income countries across the region. As part of this work I conducted broad literature reviews, drawing on a variety of frameworks to identify measurable indicators that would accurately measure the city’s productivity and resilience. I also worked closely with another intern to develop an AI app that accurately measured and displayed my results across 200 cities in the region. The end goal of the project was to provide city-level policymakers with evidence that could help them identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for urban development.
