Hanna Kherzai (’20)

I spent this past summer at the Department of Justice in the Antitrust Department. As part of the Economic Analysis Group (EAG), I was able to use data analysis skills to investigate the competitive viabilities of some of the largest merger cases in the US. We were given access to large amounts of data, and I spent time analyzing win-loss data/switching costs, data cleaning, and making maps to represent market share which were able to translate the economists' work to attorneys. I especially appreciated working on a team of economists and statisticians at EAG who were excellent resources for my day-to-day work and mentors beyond the internship.
