Materials Science and Engineering Major
White House Office of Science and Technology Policy
This summer I worked at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy for the Executive Director of the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC). In my position, I was able to work on a variety of scientific policy reports, interact with scientific leaders within various governmental agencies, and help determine stated goals and collaboration efforts of several NSTC subcommittees. Furthermore, I was able to work more specifically with the Materials Genome Initiative NSTC subcommittee to help update the education portion of their 5-year strategic plan.
